  • Hello, everyone!!!

I'm from Holland and my English is not very best:o
So i hope you will understand me.

I own one dog right now, but no Basenji.

    I like Basenji's very much.

When the time is there ( within a few years, i hope), i would like to have my own Basenji, toghether with the dog i already have.

I joined this forum, to get lots and lots of information about the Basenji, and to learn a lot abot this breed.

I hope i get a lot of respondings.

  • Hello and welcome to the forum. Your English is very good so don't worry.

You have come to the best place to learn about this fantastic breed.

  • Okay, thanks :)

I had searched for a long time, to find a good forum, but i never got a respond, and i'm stil waiting for a confirmation for another forum, that doesn't coming, so i searched along and i find this forum.
It is in English, but i hope everyone will understand me , and i hope to understand everyone.

And of course to learn a lot about the Basenji.

  • Don't worry if you don't get anymore replies until later today, it is because most people on here are in the USA so you have to remember about the time difference:)

  • Oh okay, i dint thought about that :)

But i ment …i registered to another forum, and i still didn't get any respons, so i searched along and i found this forum. :)

How late is it by yours??

  • I am in Germany so the same time as you, I hope that is what you meant.

Welcome! We are happy to have you here; and your English is very good :)

If there's ever anything we say that you do not understand, just ask us to repeat or re-phrase it. I think most here will try very hard to make sure you have no problems communicating.

I think you'll learn a lot about Basenjis here – the good and the bad!

    Again, welcome!

  • Welcome to the forum, this is the best place to learn about the breed and build great friendships with lots of support when you get your dog

  • Welcome to the Forum, your english is better than mine!:D

Great dogs, great people, great fun.;)

  • Thanks!! Everyone!!

  • Welcome to our forum – don't worry about your english.
This is a great place to learn about basenjis and read about their funny personalities. You'll get addicted to the photos though :)

  • Welcome! Its neat to see so many people from all over the world here. It seems there are quite a few from Europe…are basenjis more common there than in America?

I'm not sure that it is they are more common here, basenjis as a whole are not a popular dog. I think it's more just who stumbles upon the site and this is the first real active forum that I know about, actually I only know of one other basenji forum and it's not that active.

  • Hope you find this site favorable, there are some great Basenji slaves here, haha!!!! Basenjis are a wonderful breed of dog, but they do take patience, and understanding. My B, Sahara, drives me crazy at times, but I wouldn't give her up for a MILLION dollars. So, again, welcome to our forum.

  • Welcome! This is a great forum to gather information on. Im sure you will be able to find the answers to many questions you may have along with some "b" friends.

Thank you for adopting this beauty. She looks so much like my first basenji.

I look forward to your pictures. I'm a technophobe too - I keep telling myself I can do it but so far haven't posted any. One of my bitches was spoiled for the show ring by such a judge who didn't know how to approach a hound (although he was a Saluki judge and should have!). She was experienced at showing as well but was traumatised because when she backed away at his front on, silly voice approach she nearly fell from the table! Of course she blamed the fall on his approach. I worked on her intensively but to no avail. Yes, Basenjis on the whole are friendly and they never forget a friend either!

I live near the mountains in Colorado. There are some great trails with open space all around to let thme run around. Gosh I'm so jealous!! We don't have any plasce we could let our pooches loose. I would love a big open space sans any basenji prey :) that way they'll come back
