    Max would curl his lip (like Elvis) if he smelled something he didn't like. Sometimes people (my friends, a vet, etc.) would breathe on him, and I didn't have the nerve to tell them he was curling his lip because they had bad breath….he came in handy for a quick check before going out :) But my german shepherd mix would clean his you know what after he went out to do his business (just #1). He would actually come in from outside and go stand in front of her to wait for his little bath!

    Whenever we've had two dogs {of any breed}, which has been most of the last 17 yrs, they've always cleaned one another's eyes and ears. They've also cleaned the cats ears.

    I don't let them "clean" one another in any more, er, personal place. When they start that, I tell them "leave it" and they do. Just too gross for me!

    Monty was obsessed with cleaning eyes and Blue is obsessed with cleaning ears. The other two just have to take it or else! Monty used to sit for 10 minutes nibbling away at the shoulder seam of my t-shirt. Once he held Merle down to cleanse a specific wound on his nose, it was amazing!

    Oh yes, now Sugar has moved on to licking the Boxer all over. Her legs, ears, eyes, mouth and now-ta da her feet too! Gross, absolutely gross. Well, at least she'd be a clean mother!

    Until last night which THIS IS REALLY GROSS…..

    Cairo expressed his anal glands as he relaxed on the couch. Ceasar began licking his bottom to clean him.....I mean, GROSS....

    I suppose we have a visit due to the anal gland fairy....

    And I was getting my bath right before that!! thank god it wasnt after:eek:

    @DebraDownSouth: Great pictures. :( Krunzer, as the aunt of a niece with Downs Syndome, who has served on coalitions for and MHMR boards, I do want to say the use of "retarded" as a slur is really offensive. I cringe over that use as much as I do the "that's gay" comments, or "Jew down on the price" etc. It's just hurtful. And btw, not singling you out and I have also used words common (like gyped and Indian giver) before I really thought about the connection. Just wanted to share my response, not meant as any type of insult to you personally. I am sorry I guess I just did not think when I was writing it. Thank you for pointing it out and I will try to be more courteous in the future. Sometimes things just come out of my mouth(or typing) and I don't think of the connotations first, I really need to try to be more diplomatic on here and in every day life! :)

    I wish they could go everywhere with me but I couldn't imagine trying to get them on a plane. We are going to lake Erie in a couple week for a long weekend and they are coming with us. This campground is very dog friendly, this is the campground's annual halloween party before shutting down for the winter. Everyone is asking us to bring our dogs and of course they will be dressed up in costumes. After that we are taking a week to go to Cancun. Dog's can't go but will staying with a friend that has 1 acre fenced and her 3 dogs and mine were practically raised together. So we call it a sleepover. Everyone plays until exhaused so not a lot of time to get into trouble. I will miss them while I'm gone but know they are in great hands with my friend.

    Jayden is super gross when it comes to what he'll eat: poop, vomit, and, if he pees on the patio, he'll lick that. Honest!!! We feed him and we feed him very well! Yucccchhhhh! Pat

    Mine want to sleep on long, rainy days…..like today. Once they have their first potty of the day and realize it's a downpour day, their whole demeanor changes, and it's a slow-moving, sleepy day all day.

    It is amazing how smart they are, but I worry that not only could the house have burned, but they may have been hurt as well. Anyone of us who has kids knows it can take just a millisecond. (I guess we all have our B kids.) When things are just too quiet, I go hunting too!
