Patiently (ish) waiting

Hi all, I thought I'd introduce myself.

My name is Steph, and me and my family are currently waiting for our Basenji Puppy to be old enough to come live with us. He should be arriving mid April.
We live in North West UK and when times permit id love to meet some other basenjis to have a puppy playtime.
Our breeder has been wonderful answering all my pestering questions and sending me videos of our beautiful boy.

I do adore this picture of my cheeky "wee" boy.

LOL... "wee" is a good call! What a cutie... You know as a baby when you have to go, you just do! Welcome... care to share his Sire/Dam's name? Many of us are related by our Basenjis even from the US to across the pond.

Sire is Itury Puzzle Man In Black and dam is Jade Mysterious Talisman.
I'm sure there's some cousins about.

We haven't chosen a name for him yet but the list grows, a few front runners in the mix.

Good to know parents are both Zoogen (Russian equivalent to OFA) health tested and clear. Dad is in the database as Itury Puzzle Man In Black II because Kat gave the same name to two of her Basenji puppies. One born in 2012 and the other (Dad) in 2016.

Your pup will be in the online d/b too as soon as he appears in the BRS and then you can supply photos - and trace hm back through generations of lovely Basenjis.

Jane, we are talking at cross purposes. I was congratulating @enquiring_mind on choosing a dog with tested parents. (in fact I have the certificates or at least photo copies of them.)

Those at the dogs I was referring to. NOT Ellie's parents at all. Different animals entirely.

@zande just realised what happened there - I was replying to @enquiring_mind about potential relatives, but didn't do it properly and predictive text misspelled it, so it looked like I was replying to you.

On a side note we saw images of health certificates for our puppy's parents. Father was also bred by IIona Zlatkina and was clear and Mother was bred by Tatiana Kotelva in Ukraine and was negative but a carrier (for falconi I think), so we were satisfied that our puppy was clear before committing.

Unfortunately my husband's phone was damaged so we no longer have the images of the certificates and I understand it's only the breeder who is permitted to share them? I did forward your website to the breeder and suggested he send in certificates and photos of mum and dad.

I am delighted you did. I never hear anything from your breeder and doubt that he would be interested in the database. I don't have photo-copies of any certificates of his dogs' parents but if you can assure me that you have them, albeit on a broken phone, I can add the clearances to the database.

I am assuming they are Zoogen ?
