Stolen Puppies

Breeder Talk
  • I thought this should be shared. I do not know who's puppies these are, but I would be devastated.

  • OMG !!!
I hope they come back home - how could that even happen.
A lesson to us all - I'm always checking on mine when they are out in the yard and I never leave them very long when at events. I would never leave them in my car either (lots of folks at agility events do that and never think anything of it).

  • It's an OMG all right, but not how you'd think. At first it was blamed on a family members vindictive ex but now I have an update from someone...

"Had not heard anything from the woman that was buying the puppy so I telephoned her. Well.... While the puppies were real (lots of real time updates, photos, videos, & talked about them to her friends & family on her personal Facebook page), it looks like the woman that was selling them made up a series of lies because a) did want to deal with shipping a puppy; b) sold it to someone local; d) sold it for more money to someone else; d) who the hell knows.

The woman that was the intended buyer who posted all the ads is livid and perplexed. She plans to talk to an attorney friend to make sure it is okay to plaster the seller's name everywhere.

The world is full of jerks, jackasses, and idiots. Had a long talk with buyer and told her to only deal with AKC registered breeders in the future. She is lucky she didn't lose any money."

Not seen this article three years ago last Oct we had to have blood for our cat. Cat's have blood types some what like people blood was not cheap. We tell him he got trash can kitty blood because after blood he wanted to eat table food never like that before. We also learned about blood when our akita was sick one was plasma and I do recall name of the other but it was really only good for 24 hours. Rita Jean

Rita, maybe you can change the thread title (or email Alex and ask him to change it) to: WARNING, BYB Puppies for sale - NOT Health Tested.

Also, as they are so cat like, folks don't understand their not "listening". So the corrections get harsher and harsher. Sigh. Education is the key for folks…until they do, we will have many dogs in the wrong homes.

@kiroja: Pat, I heard from Linda this weekend and Boo IS preggers! Just thought I would let you know. :) At least 4 pups were seen, but she usually gets a little more than what shows up. One is very small though and probably won't make it. So at least 3 little babies on the way! And fingers crossed that Kylie cooperates next time for your new plans. :) I'm so happy that Parry will get his Jaadii kids. Cool… thanks for letting me know.... and yes, we are hoping that Kylie is ready for "Motherhood" .....gggg And we are excited about our possible Jaadii kids!

The following site has them at a reasonable price plus if you click on Color/Pattern choices at the bottom of the page, you can see exactly how to measure your girl to get the correct size: http://nu-nee.tripod.com/bb.htm Whatever you decide to use try to remember that the likelihood they last more than a day is low unless you are incredibly vigilant. Personally, I gave up on the panties. The bleeding was never very much & Ella kept herself incredibly clean so I rarely saw or had blood spots to clean up. The worst were my sheets (yes, my spoiled B sleeps under the covers at my feet). I tried keeping panties on her but by morning they were shredded as well as sanitary napkin bits everywhere. It was cheaper just to change my sheets daily.

Mollysmom-gosh I'm so sorry that your breeder just went MIA like that. It's tough when you first get these little furballs you could use all the guidance you can get. And usually they are very helpful. Hang in there & please come back here & post questions or concerns…there's lots of good info in this forum. Check out the health section so you can read up on some of the things basenjis are prone to. Since you (and your friend's B girl) don't have any background you won't have any idea what she me be predisposed to. It will help you out in the future to know the warning signs & symptoms of the various potential health problems. Good luck & I hope you post some pics of your little Molly :)
