We had organic peanuts (in the shell) this weekend at family camping and a few of them were dropped. Kentucky was brillant enough to learn how to take the nuts out of the shell and take the skin off them. It was amazing watching him hunt for the nuts.

Haha. I've made myself heart from the grocery store, and I liked it. I've had liver and onions and chopped liver, and they were good too. Freeze dried, just dounds so … dry... Medjai seems to like it though.

In Australia, (especially in Tasmania ), we have none of the brands of dog food that you guys are talking about… We feed a premium dry food to our 2 B's, in the morning, which I might add, neither eat much of :). In the evening they get dry with a little wet food mixed in, also warmed up. Both of them get a 1000mg Omega 3 capsule, and the difference in their coat is incredible. Both had quite dry, flakey, scurfy coats, and our Vet suggested this, and I couldnt be happier with the results. Im new to the breed, and my mentor lives interstate, so all that I am doing, is trial and error ;). Just a couple of weeks ago, I was showing Ochre, and the judge was going over her coat, again and again, on the table... I was thinking she didnt like her coat, and was dreading what she might say to me !!! I was pleasantly surprised when she actually said that Ochre had the most correct coat that she had touched in the last 12-18 months :D. Thankfully the sun was out, just long enough for the B judging, and she literally glistened in the sunshine. This judge also commented on her bright whites, and shiny red colouring. She said, I dont know what you are doing with her coat, but, please keep it up... I was over the moon with these comments :).

when my puppy was teething I would stop up one end with just a dab of peanut butter, fill the rest with water and freeze it. He LOVED it. You could let them play with it outside, but really I diddnt find it too messy even for the house. The ice melts at about the rate the dog licks at it, and the little dribbles are easy enough just to mop up after. I have also put in chunks of apple (no core or seeds) or baby carrots. I also have added peanut butter from time to time. I just throw it in the dishwasher afterwards to clean it. Kong makes treats to go inside as well. @JazzysMom: Funny – Jazzy is my dog that is not in a hurry for food {although treats do exite her}; she doesn't run to the bowl, takes a long time to eat, etc. And she is the one with the weight struggles. I have to watch her intake closely or she chunks up pretty fast. Keoki is our pig. He lives for food, glorious food! He'd stuff himself sick if we let him. Yet he is our leanest dog -- not skinny, but not an ounce of extra fat on him either. You'd think it'd be the opposite, wouldn't you? our house is the opposite. Dash is much slower to eat than Sissy. We have had to become creative to get him to eat quickly so she doesn't end up eating it all.

@jys1011: We feed the same exact amount! And anything more than 1/4 of a can & the odor can kill us :D :D Oh my C3PO also snarks when he eats!!!! He sounds like a pig eating slop LOL :D My Topaz is MUCH more refined…licking & chewing very dainty :) :D LOL - HaHaa! I get the message. I'll go from 1/3 to 1/4 can. Last night, Duke was standing on the sofa playing with me when all of the sudden he . . . POOTED! His own poot scared him. He turned around to see what was there - couldn't find anything, but he did alot of sniffing . . . and looked embarrassed! :D
