Oakley would eat sour smarties or sweet tarts over sweet potatoes or zucchini 100%. I often think it's weird how similar his taste for sour and tart candies resembles mine!! I do however like fruits and vegetables more than him..
Yeah… it sounds like more then it really is, sp is reallly dense and mostly water/fiber. It's about 1/2 a cup cooked I think...
I always feed mine because my mom is the same - thinks I'm not giving enough though she admits that Dreamer at least is the right weight. Silly puppy on the other hand is hard to keep weight on, the whole litter is the same and so was his sire. At least he's not like his sister who will only eat ground chicken...
From what I understand…after reading a bit. Take the dogs for a long walk together...I mean REEEEAAALLY long. Have them get to know their territory & tire them out. Once tired & they've made the association that they are now part of your pack the meeting will go smoother (hopefully). Allow them to meet & greet but keep an eye out for signals...threatening behavior like lots of lip licking, growls, teeth, etc. if need be just get in between them & stay calm. They will now how to calm each other & they will know how to communicate with each other.
I am so glad to see I am not the only one dealing with this issue. We got Bella when she was four months old and the chase has been on ever since. She turned one year old on December 27th and I am still dealing with this. Eight months of cat chasing and I think I am going looney here.
