A friend of ours talked to the woman with the 7 month old female today. The original owner was older, got her from a shelter (as a Jack Russell) and she was just too much energy. The current 'foster' took her to help the original owner, but she has several other dogs, the basenji has already escaped once. She has chickens, etc., and her husband wants her re-homed soon. I saw a (poor quality) photo and she looks pure basenji but has one drop-tipped ear and barks occasionally, she is intact still. No one I know is up for a youngster like this, but we are asking around. If anyone out there is interested,I'll help with transport.

Asking $500 and I assume for both of them. They are crate trained and up-to-date on shots and are microchipped. No mention of being neutered. They need a fenced yard and someone to spend a lot of time with them.
I have not contacted the owner to see if they are still available or who the breeder is.

This person is on the list and has already post them to place. I referred them to BRAT, don't know if they have heard back. If you seach the forums you will find their post. They have not be DNA for Fanconi and if I remember the post correctly, one came from a pet store and one from a BYB
