That's Gunner. I contacted his people several weeks ago to inquire and he is not in a kill shelter. He's in a rescue program (not through BRAT) and he "does not need rescuing from a rescue". Just an FYI…
We are in San Antonio and are looking for one or two Basenjis. We had our previous two Basenjis for 16 years. They were two girls and half sisters. What are their ages? Do they get along with indoor cats.
Thanks for the notes and looking up options nearby. We had already written to the Swiss basenji email address, but didn't get a response. We'd be willing to take him to nearby countries in Europe for the right fit. Perhaps now we will try writing to the other countries' basenji groups.
He is such a lovely dog, and we want a good situation for him. He has come a long way and is much calmer now that he's a bit older!
Dmcarty, I am very sorry too, and very disapointed. The kids had one thing after another and once it was "my" turn, I was too pooped. I wish I would've gone, it sounds like it was great. I am glad you made it down here and back home in one piece, even though there were some problems along the way..
