Basenji/Chi Mix?

    So I rescued this little (4 lb) Chi mix, and the more I read about Basenji's the more I think she's mixed with one. She's super sweet, smart, very energetic, very athletic, has a great nose, finds lots of things on our daily walks, hops when she runs, has a wrinkled brow and almond shaped eyes and she rarely barks. Think Basenji's can be so small though?

    We also have a possible Basenji/Terrier (Yorkie) mix. I've had some doubts, but seeing this picture of Rosie, I can't help but see my Rebel. Such a great looking dog, and if she's anything like our girl, you're in for a treat!

    Yeah, he loves to chew. Right now it's defluffing tennis balls and cracking them open that entertains him. And chewing on sticks. I do have a kong he loves. High quality treats like pigs ears and such wouldn't do well here as there would be fights over them by all the dogs here, even if I gave each one one, they always want that which another dog has. I do have a few nylabones but he isn't too interested in them at the moment.

    Hi Chellie- We had heard that the UC Davis area was very well known for it's vet activities. That said, we're not vets! This was just a way to get a sense of learning what this special dog is, that we've become so attached to. Any answer we get will only make her more special! ALM
