Thanks, Anne, for updating everyone! I'm so relieved that Rasta is now in the caring hands of BRAT, and I'm very impressed at the speed of these loving volunteers! :) (Both in rescuing Rasta, and in letting Sandra know that she is safe)… I hope Rasta finds a new forever home.

Thanks heavens that kind folks take in 'stray' dogs and try to find the owners. Keeps them away from cars and bad endings.

These sorts of things happen so quickly, and unfortunatley there is no "Undo" button. I think it is easy to get complacent in our lives. We get use to routine and every once in a while things just happen. So sad.

Yes, a dog getting home is always joyous. I just wish Rose Marie would tell us if the mom and puppies were able to bond. Kathy maybe you can find out if everyone is back to normal re dog and pups?

I volunteer at my local shelter and I am currently training to do behavior evaluations to help relieve some the burden the current budget cuts have out on the staff. Even overworked and underpaid, the staff there IME working with them scan the body and scan with both scanners they have. Does this mean every shelter is this way, no, but I think alot of people paint shelter workers as being kind of lazy about microchips and that is not what I have observed. Most really want the animals to be reclaimed and reunited.
