My dog got out this morning sometime and ive looked everywhere he is all brindle with some white under his neck he is wearing a choker collar

Where in Canada are you? Did you get your dog from a local breeder? If you did, call your breeder, often they can network other basenji owners and help you organize a search. It is very helpful if people out looking have another basenji or dog with them.
Also get photos together quickly to make flyers and get them out with your contact information. Is your dog microchipped? Get your microchip number, dogs name, your contact info to all vets in your area as well as shelters.
Your best bet is to contact the breeder and get as much help as you can.
