• My labradoodle Tessie and I met Oakley and Chelsea at a local training club. We plan to meet again when I have my pup. Here are some photos!:)

  • Looks like they had fun. That looks like an interesting place. Can you just bring your dogs there 'for fun' or is that a part of a training class you are taking?

  • They have a drop in play group every Friday with 2 groups. It's well-supervised, so I like it better than the dog park.

  • Houston

Very cool, how exciting that you live so close to each other..makes for fun playdates later in life. Thanks for sharing.

  • Fantastic, it's great that you can meet up. What a great idea the playgroup is. Wish we had some in England.

  • Ian Dunbar always recommends setting up your own play group if there are none in your area. the trouble is there are too few people (and dogs) interested in my area.

I've never seen an actual labradoodle before - she looks very handsome.

Thanks! Tessie is a great dog (though about as far from a basenji as you can get and still be in the same species;)) She is a diabetes alert dog for my son; sort of our night nurse.

I can relate to a diabetes alert dog… one of my employee's is a Type 1 and has a service dog... and same with us at work... but "day" nurse...:)

Of course he takes time out of the day to come and say "HI"... and make sure to put his scent on me.. so that the girls go nuts when I go home...

  • What a clever girl. I do think these 'nurse' dogs are wonderful. I assume a Basenji would be good but haven't heard of one (or was there on somewhere on this forum?)
