Hello from Ontario… with a B & a Bx

  • Hello everyone. A quick introduction, and a thank you to all who create, maintain and participate on this forum. It is a wonderful resource for B and B mix enthusiasts and a most enjoyable site to visit to simply read the many marvelous tales of Basenjis and their devoted loving people. My name is Jen, and my husband and I are the humbled human servants of a recently adopted 1 yr. old male tri B and a 3 yr. old female B/Boxer mix.

We've been pack leaders to many canine friends over the decades, and delight in the company of our dogs. We are always exactly where we want to be, when we are with our B's. It is my belief, that to earn the love, respect and devotion of any animal, is the greatest reward this mortal coil can offer.

    Nice to meet you all,
    Jen

I look forward to your pictures. I'm a technophobe too - I keep telling myself I can do it but so far haven't posted any. One of my bitches was spoiled for the show ring by such a judge who didn't know how to approach a hound (although he was a Saluki judge and should have!). She was experienced at showing as well but was traumatised because when she backed away at his front on, silly voice approach she nearly fell from the table! Of course she blamed the fall on his approach. I worked on her intensively but to no avail. Yes, Basenjis on the whole are friendly and they never forget a friend either!

No confirmed plans, as of yet. But they should solidify with in the next few weeks. We have been thinking of "wintering" in Berlin until February. We also we'll be in Münich visiting some friends. I'm really excited to go, since there are so many more B's in Germany than Switzerland. In fact Lycia's father, C-Quest's Echo of Eldorado is there as well. =)

Welcome, from another Ohioan. We are on the north side of columbus and have 1 r/w boy. We have occasionaly taken him to the Westerville dog park but his behavior has not be great lately. We have cut back. We also help BRAT transport and foster. Great to have more B's in Ohio. I see so few of them in Columbus.
