  • Is he the one that got BOB at Westminster? If so, he is a beautiful dog, really like him 😃

  • @Maya:

He is.. and his is my Franie and Trip's 1/2 brother, same Dam…. He is a lovely dog... Funny story about him too... when they graded the litter, he was placed in a pet home. As it worked out, the home was not ready for a Basenji so his breeder got him back.. Lucky for her. And so when Jeff and I were looking at the pups this year, knowing the story, I told Wanda... I want the "pet pick"!!!!

Also Franie and Trip's litter sister won her 6-9 puppy class at the Nationals.

And the judge said afterwards that Seri was in serious contention for WB but she was too wiggly in the winners ring for him to be able to look at her. She's a puppy, whatcha expect? 🙂

  • Congrats to winners and all who participated.

It is very interesting to see how many different classes you have compare to european FCI system. We just have Baby class (4-6 mo), Puppy class (6-9 mo), Junior class (9-18 mo), Intermediate class (15-24 mo), Open class (from 15 mo), Champion class (from 15 mo) and Veteran class (from 8 yrs).
All colours are mixed in the classes.
It would be interesting to do our Club show in accordance your class system.
But I am affraid we need to have a bigger entries. And also there is no way for "colour class" at our Club show as there used to be mainly red colour. But I would like to see Stud dog, Brood bitch, Field trial and bred by exhibitors classes here.

I am also curious what does some marks in results mean?
For example AB AOM SEL OS
    Thanks.

  • AB=Absent
AOM = Award of Merit (These are awarded to the dogs that the judge feels were in the running for Best of Breed)
SEL = Grand Champion points (new title this year from AKC)
OS = Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed winner

In the US, under six months old can't be shown….

How cool is that?… 🙂 And I hear "wiggly"..... I am pretty sure that except for a match or two was her first time in a show ring... She sure does look a lot like her brother and sister from the picture that Dr. Tracy posted on facebook.

So cool to hear. Congrats Blade and Wanda.

  • Just got back - it's not posted of course, but Cricket (CH Illusion's True Love Ways of Dune) made the cut for Best of Breed! Very proud of my 18 month old girl in a class of 55 +/- Specials!

Also, Gr. CH Foresses La Dolce Vita was an AOM Winner, her mom, CH Illusionforess Hakuna Matata, bred by us, was the 2nd place winner in Brood Bitch! So the Illusion gang had a great time in Greeley.

    Terry

  • Congrats to Mr. BOB and Mr. BOB's breeder, handler etc! And of course congrats to everyone else with nice results!
