Looking for an adult Basenji

    I'm looking for a mellow tempered adult Basenji to be a companion to a 1 1/2 year old neutered male Basenji. (Not for me but instead for a family that I placed this male with.) The family has had some very bad experiences with rescues in the past and they are not interested in another dog with health or behavior problems. They are also not interested in a puppy. Breeders, if you have a good natured adult Basenji that you would like to find a good home for at a very reasonable price, let me know and I can put you in touch with this family. They are located in north Georgia near Chattanooga, TN.

    Oddly enough, there is another person in Spain needing to rehome their Basenji puppy. The fellow's girlfriend does not like dogs. The topic is "Basenji puppy for adoption (Spain)" and the guy is @Luc21. Hope you can contact him.

    I just found out about Tucson last week nd this week we have company from out of town otherwise we would have gone. I will be checking with the two breeders I've found in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. I'll keep looking for a rescue. Thx

    @helle-devi Thank you for responding. I have already been in touch with the basenji sisters. I was not aware before I contacted them that they are located in CA. I think the distance between us is too great. If things didn’t work out between my basenji and one of their girls, the distance would be a problem. I did become a member on the Facebook site that you recommended. Thank you so much! I was unaware that such a site existed. Jo Ann

    Even though breeders don't show on the on-line database, I do keep pretty full records, and by the way - please keep chasing people to send me litter data !

    He has never owned a Basenji before no, but he has researched them. Thank you for the info. I will talk to him.
