Lauren
I'll ask my in-laws about the public transport. They live in Plean near the park.

Thanks Vicki, I appreciate that.
-
Hi Lauren
I haven't asked my in laws yet but I've found a bus route and timetable from Edinburgh - Plean. It looks like there's a bus that will get you to Plean Main Road for just before 10am.

Hope this helps. But I'll check with the family at the weekend.

Just let me know if you want to come, especially if you want to stay for the bar lunch, coz I'll have to book a table.

Who are you bringing Jenny ?I'm just bringing Belle.
ETA I forgot to say my mum is also coming along for the day out.
-
So exciting!! I will more than likely be bringing the other half, but I'll need him to confirm.
-
What time have we to be there at?
-
I was thinking about meeting up at 10.00. Those of us who are coming in cars could meet up at Stirling Services at about 9.45 and follow me to the park. Then I thought we could have lunch about 1.00 ish.
Does everyone want a bar lunch? I've been to this pub/restaurant once and it was nice. It's a couple of miles away from the park. I'll need to book at table for lunch. It sounds as though there's going to be quite a collection of us.
Please let me know what you all think of times etc.
Vicki
ps Lauren - I'll try finding out about trains to Stirling and maybe I could collect you on the way past??

Train times. This will be a lot quicker than the bus.

Yeah that's a good idea about meeting at the services Vicki. I'll get back to you tomorrow about lunch as need to find out if my mum can stay for it.
-
No probs Jen. Lunch isn't compulsory, I just thought it would be nice to be able to sit down and talk dog without being pulled on a lead LOL

Sounds good to me, Vicki. BUT I will have to give myself extra time to get lost…..it's the norm with me!
I have one question though, what if it's very warm? Are the dogs allowed in the pub or can we sit outside? I'm paranoid about dogs in warm cars as I'm sure you'll understand.
-
I would doubt very much if it'll be warm. This is Scotland after all!
There's no outside seating. We managed to park just outside the door last time.
I can always try to find somewhere else with outside seating but won't be able to say whether it'll be any good food wise etc.
