Take your daughter(s) to work day?

  • We came back to Atlanta for the weekend for some lure coursing, and we had a couple spare hours before meeting up with MauiGirl for a basenji playdate.
I brought my computer, and ducked into my dad's office for a bit to steal some internet and check my e-mail. Since he's currently out of town, the girls thought they'd help me catch up on some of his work for him.
In the first picture, they keep my lap warm while I look through his work.
In the second picture, Callie acts as paperweight as Lola looks over some blueprints.

  • Great pictures..I love brindles and two brindle girls…wow.

  • Looks like the girls took their time at work seriously :D

  • Awe! That's a great family picture :) !
It sure looks like they are working hard!

  • Monday morning. "what are these paw prints all over these architect plans"??

  • @nobarkus:

Monday morning. "what are these paw prints all over these architect plans"??

    That's EXACTLY what we said!?!?
Actually, I believe the phrase I used went something like "Why have my blueprints turned into pawprints?"
(MauiGirl works for him heehee…. the two of us crazy basenji friends let loose in his office.... yikes! He had a shot of Callie coursing as his desktop for a week or so until MauiGirl changed it for him because he doesn't know how ;) )

Super pictures of the two of them. The stem cell injectiobns seem a great help with the hips. I'm not sure that it is done here. I must find out. You have a right to gush about Kipawa - he's a lovely boy.

@tanza: They are not wild "wicked" women…gggg... I know of a few "mellow" ones.. and usually I have found, it is the boys that are pretty wild in their younger years, more then the girls most of the time. There is stuff you can buy to put on her pads to protect them while they toughen up... and she would be one for sure that I would be very careful with on pavement/roads/sidewalks in the summer when the sun has really hot... that is what can really bother their feet, tough or not.. The 2 females I had were tough and devoted. Good point about the heat. That hot pavement is a killer and I don't think people realize it either.

@Kipawa: The shot with the two of them sharing the stick is magazine worthy. Oh wow! Thanks a lot ;) @MacPack: Thank you! But it's the garden of my parents-in-law. We have to drive 5-10minutes to them. With its 4500 sq.m. it is a Basenji-paradies :D @Buana: Do you plan to visit another show in Germany? You were in Rheinberg, right? We planned to show there, too - but didn't have the time. @TikaLynn: I'm happy, that you like them so much :)

@Quercus: I love Stitch, the character, precisely because I swear whoever created him MUST have patterned him after a Basenji! There is a dog out here named Stitch, his registered name is DC Select Rugosa Alien Invader SC LCX. We are planning on using him for a breeding this fall :) And with any luck, we will be doing a frozen breeding to Stitch's sire, Jaadii…
