My dog leaves mud "footprints"….

  • @wizard:

If they really were worried, they should figure out the carbon footprint of all animals. I think the results would then be that the earth would be better off if no animals anywhere ever!

Yep, that's why it's stupid! Birds poop all over the place so should we shot em all out of the sky?

  • Oh boy. They worry about all of these polluting vehicles, yet they find animals to be more harmful.

I suppose we should stop breeding humans too? :D

Fortunately for me, Kananga's gas probably heats my home during the winter. He's reducing my energy needs so he is offsetting his footprint.

LOL, Buddy has had a little gas too lately and I was wondering why it was warmer in the house.:D

The lead shot required to kill the birds is a pollutant now too..and has been outlawed in some states.

Here's a interesting fact: The planets of Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn have had their temperatures measured over time as well. Surprisingly, without human intervention, their temperatures have fluctuated on the same lines as our little ol' Earth. I wonder whether that great huge ball of fire in the center of our little planetary system might have something to do with that…Are we going to turn it over to government control and tax that next?

Exactly! The planets temp has fluctuated long before there were cars and the industrial revolution.

  • IMO, some people just have too much time on their hands - studies like this serve no purpose whatsoever, and frankly, the animals have been here forever - we are the newest species, and I don't believe we are causing it either. Cyclical changes have been a part of Earth's progress forever and will continue to be - with or without us and our pets.

  • Then if they're that concerned they should go after the puppy mills and shut them down.

  • It's too bad they don't push this funding towards more important things. We've been spending millions of $ on "data mining" only to come up with pointless conclusions and questionable theories.

It'd be nice to see them use this money towards things that actually make a difference.

  • It'd be nice if they would just leave us alone and let us keep the money we make so we can decide for ourselves which charity to give it to. The numbers are there…United States citizens donate more money and a higher percentage of their income to charity than any other nation in the world. How about just let us do it rather than confiscate it and decide for us where it will go?

That would also be nice and I agree.

  • I think I may have just made a huge carbon footprint:eek: I'm making cookies to take for the family tomorrow and just burned a batch….not to a crisp, but a little too crispy for giving, got a little smokey in the kitchen...more for me! Furball keeps trying to help but to no avail. He'll be happy when I get home tomorrow though, 'cause there will be a couple of standing rib bones for him to gnaw on.:)

Oh you're the one causing global warming with your burnt cookies. :D

  • Why, yes,of course. Me and my burnt cookies. You forgot about the massive amount of energy it takes to fuel the oven that burnt those cookies. Gosh, I should turn myself in to the climate police right now…dog, oven, house, car, refridgerator....thank God I don't own a cow:) We have all heard the stories of those 'gas factories':D

It is well known that made in USA pretty meaningless. Always look for SOURCE. These days, if it doesn't SAY USA source meat, you can pretty much BET it is not. While most use some vitamins and stuff from other countries, if at least the meat is from a safe source, I'm pretty good with it. Of course, when it is JUST CHICKEN and sourced here… fine. :) short list of USA source: http://www.usalovelist.com/natural-pet-food-and-treats-made-in-usa/ Wow, just realize truthaboutpetfood…/the-2015-list/ now CHARGES a lot for their list. Um, no. This is pretty good http://dogaware.com/diet/dryfood.html Colorado Natural only sources usa I am pretty sure. And I love Salmonears. http://www.salmonears.com/dogs.html They are my go too healthy treats. Have known the owner for about 20 years, he taught me more about training, health, nutrition and raw than anyone in my life. No I don't get a discount if you try them, but you can say Deb sent you so he knows. For crunchy and good omega, they are my dogs favorites :) LOL bears like them too: https://youtu.be/CH6mKLs9xm0

What is it with MILs and chain forwards? I really have no interest in any of them, but DHs mom keeps sending them. DH's stepmother actually never emails us a letter….only forwards......sometimes 4 or 5 a day.
  • My other "babies"…no offense intended to my children. LOL
