No, it was a person who also owned a rat terrier, and the two of them got into a scuffle over a copperhead. As the rattie was their snake killer, the basenji got to find a new home. I will send her the link.

I hope someone can get this girl. A breeder could get the boy in Dallas and this girl in Houston and start breeding this Fall to try to make money. It happens all the time! I wish people who bought puppies would think before they buy. It costs money to take care of dogs. If they would buy from a reputable breeder, the breeder would take them back instead of listing them on craigslist to sell to anybody! Jennifer

I emailed her. Looks like a mix to me. Beautiful dog though. She said she was given the dog for free. Didn't mention the age. Not Fanconi tested.

Looks like a typical 6 mo B. Second picture shows his crate with something totally de-stuffed!! I laughed at that. I am hoping this boy finds a good home.

Weekly Winners are not excluded from Grand prizes and Special prizes.<<< But I agree. I think that they should limit Grand Prize to every OTHER year and state to once a year, not every other voting. It has become much like a steady supplemental income for a few groups. I think after so much money, the group should be eliminated completely for a while. As it is, many wonderful rescues have zero chance.

He has a docked tail and white on the back part of his body. He sure does look Basenji from the front! He has lost weight in the shelter-now weighs 16 lbs. He is still a good looking boy! Looks like the dewclaws have been removed - any idea on the breeder?

This girl is no longer in the shelter as she was either adopted or rescued. I am trying to find out if a rescue got her and which one. Jennifer

No. The two sisters were Bella and Honey, I don't think BRAT would change their names. They might not be ready for adoption yet.

All the best for Diesel in his new and loving home. I am so impressed by the way everybody has helped to get Diesel there.

I would have suggested the low cost spay/neuter clinic for the dam-only $65 and for the sire only $50 if both are under 30 lbs.! I am glad they were not taken to the shelter-high kill rates in Houston. Jennifer
