• C-Me (Klassic-Tanza Color Me Tri) Winners Bitch for her 1st 4pt Major!… after going reserve one day and winning her class the next, was nice to close it out on a great note for the long drive home!

  • Huge congrats although I have no idea what 4pt Major is 🙂

  • Congrats!
    One Major left?

  • Congratulations Pat! C-Me is such a pretty girl..!

In the US for their championships, they need a total of 15 points, they only get points by going Winners Dog or Winners Bitch (can get addition points is they go Best of Breed or Best of Opp Sex). Points are based on the number of dogs/bitches in the classes. Different for different parts of the country. You can get 1 point, 2 points (called minor points), 3 points, 4 points and the highest is 5 points (3,4,5 are Major points).

They need at least two majors within the total of 15. Hardest to get are the majors as it depends on the number entered and usually when you have majors it is a bigger show with lots of good quality dogs entered.

Last year in Northern California we only had a total of about 6 shows that offered enough entry to get major points. And maybe about 10 shows in Southern California that offered enough of an entry to get major points. Traveling to Southern California for me is about a 6 to 8 hour drive.

Thanks Pat, now I understand :). So that's mean C-Me is very handsome girl :D.

We have similar "points system" for Basenji Of The Year competition in our Club just without Major points.

    Thanks Robyn
LOL, you will have a long wait… didn't stay for pictures, we had a 8 hours drive home and I had to be at work this morning, our ring time was at 1pm... there were 4 other breeds after us so too long to wait for pictures. Good thing that we did leave when we did, going over the mountains in So. Calif... it was socked in icy fog at 5:15 in the afternoon with temps of 31 degrees, so if we would have been later, may not have made it home.

Thanks, I think she is and she has just a wonderful head piece… and great expression with nicely hooded ears.

  • Yippeeee! Congrats Pat to you and CMe. Wish we were going to see her in Portland. And to think you even had free bed/breakfast accomidations.
    We wish you continued success.

I know… it was a toss up between Palm Springs and Portland.... the "Sun" won the toss...gggg.. but my girls would have love "pack" running!!!

But I am planning on Evergreen this year!!!

  • Congratulations Pat!! C-Me must have been really on her game - the competition at Palm Springs is always tough!

There were lots of very nice dogs and bitches this year entered…. Thanks Terry.....

  • Big Congrats! How is Franie doing?

  • @Nemo:

Big Congrats! How is Franie doing?

    Thanks!

She is doing fine, she is less mature then C-Me…. so still looks much younger in the ring with the others, even ones the same age. She will not fully mature until she is closer to 2yrs, I think. And she doesn't yet have the confidence that C-Me has in the ring.

Her brother, Trip did well... He was 3rd the first day, 2nd the second and 1st and reserve the last day. They were big open classes with lots of very nice dogs, ... was beat for winners by the BBE dog, also very nice that then went breed from the classes. He showed very nice for Jeff all three days.
