and please, pics! ❤ to see them!
I'm a new member. I just watched your slide show, it was great. I recently lost my 14 year old Basenji. It's been 1 1/2 months ago and I still cry everyday. I'm having such a hard time. I love seeing other Basenji's and reading about them.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my basenji boy Max in November of last year. He was almost 16, and I had him from a pup. I found this site the first of the year, and it has been such a great place and has really helped me through this transition period–just to connect with others who know and love basenjis. Like member Basenji Boy says--special dogs special people....

Welcome to the forums. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss…
Welcome to the Basenji Forum, Reggie! My shi tzu Bandit died 4 years ago after a stroke at the age of 16. He was like my youngest child. My younger son had just turned 10 when we got the dog and he was 27 when the dog died! I still can't look at pictures of him without crying. I have to remind myself that he was a good dog and he had a happy life for more years than most dogs get.
Welcome. Sorry to hear of your loss…....I hope you soon aquire another Basenji.
Enjoy the forum.:)

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I also have just lost my basenji girl 3 weeks ago and understand the feeling you are talking about.
Think fondly on those memories and time spent together. Those memories will always be yours. I hope that you might consider sharing some stories about your basenji with us.
They all have so much character!
