@Quercus:
Cool! Where was it, and how many basenjis were entered. I am intrigued by UKC, but I don't want to enter if there won't be any other Bs there.
It was in Brampton, On. We generally only get two or three shows a year up here. Sat we had 6 entered all day and Sun just 3, but I'm just proud about the Groups-actually, I'm ecstatic! The groups were a variety of hounds. The Pharoah won both days and was really nice. But the judge said all my dogs had nice side movement-even happy legs Shadow, but Damisi really did well and had her head on. It's something I would do again, and will! It's a lot more fun than CKC. The judge on the 1st day when I won the group told us to place ourselves in order of speed and the one girl said, "oh to the back of the bus for you." The judge said, "I said to place yourselves in order of speed, YOU go to the front. She moves faster than any of these." I just smirked at them, so my littlest girl who is only 15" was out in front! And they still couldn't keep up to her!
I would say if you can find a show, go to it! It is different from the CKC, a lot more relaxed and friendly, and no handlers!
