  • There must be something in the smell of these kinds of things as well. Beegin has climbed shelves in my pantry to get a box of chai tea (the dried in the tea bag stuff) and he tore like every single tea bag apart and even carried some into his crate for later. I found soggy chewed on chai tea bags stashed under his blankets!

  • This is too funny…Sultan and I share my morning coffee..or my night coffee...he's also been known on occasion to find a bag of beans and take them outside to his hiding place...not sure he's actually eaten them, but the bag's been ripped opened. He likes to lick the beer bottles as well, but he didn't seem to enjoy my red wine, which is fine with me

  • rocky will sneak up and drink beer outta the bottle. well try.. he sticks his tongue down the neck haha

Hi @Vesna, it’s interesting you say that about the spay. Our tri-color actually just got spayed this week and her coat shed before that. I noticed small amount of black hair growing in where she shed, hopefully it grows back. What phase is your tri-color at? Did this just happen?

I can't listen to that, it would wake my girl up and well... I'm not into a "sing along" just now. ;) I will say that many canines howl and yodel and bay (at the moon, whenever a fire truck passes, etc.). I'm not certain that any one breed is distinctive enough to have a sound all their own, but many a proud owner would probably assert so.

My undergraduate degree was in geophysics with a minor in applied math. I name all my Basenjis after Indian mathematicians. My current Basenjis are Madhava of Sangamagrama (Madhava for short) and Bramagupta (Bramagupta for short). They do respond to their "short" names.
