    As many of you on here already know, my Dallas & Michelle's (Forum Name: Mia) Nike, are brothers. They were 2 of the 5 whelped from Serengeti's Camellia [Sire was Basi] by Midge Greenlee. Anyway, we realized that we only live an hour or so away from one another & met this past Saturday. Although I am not convinced Dallas & Nike recognized eachother, they still had a blast. That is the best nights sleep I've had since getting Dallas. He slept like a rock from Midnight - 10 AM straight! :eek: We are planning more gatherings soon [like this weekend :p ]but here are some pictures of the crazy/fun day!

    I think Mia is above this nonsense so she just observes the boys wrestling, smiliar to human boys v. girls huh? LOL

    Silly brothers!

    This is the only picture I managed to take where they are next to one another & sitting still. It is interesting because their personalities/mannerisms are SO SIMILAR along with their body shape/size/etc but their colorings are definitely unique to each of them :) Both handsome boys if you ask me!

    @Kipawa: Jess, I don't think Maya has a problem with weight, either light or too heavy. She looks very good. As long as you know she is eating wel, is healthy and is exercising, don't be too concerned. I realize their IS a standard for the basenji, but they are living beings that can't always match up to a picture in a book. She is a very, very good eater. She LOVES her food and its often more of a problem to keep her weight down as she will steal anything she can get hold of :rolleyes: Since having a basenji I have learned that they are worse thievess even than labradors!! :eek: I was defrosting a chicken last week and noticed it had disappeared from the kitchen worktop.. where do i find it? Outside with Maya and she'd eaten about half of it :rolleyes: She is a pig!! I walk her for about 2 hours a day now, most of which is offlead running (we walk to the horses fields and back each evening so she spends a good hour running around the fields and woods and farmland!) so she has quite a lot of exercise compared to some im sure, but if she didnt have that she would be a little porker cos she eats a lot :p But at the same time, cos she has so much time running around burning calories I do need to make sure her food intake is high enough. She is definately the highest energy dog i've ever had :eek:

    @renaultf1: And basenjis aren't?:D:D:D Wait 'til you get a second basenji and Maya has a partner in crime… :D:D:D I cant wait to have another basenji :D I guess it wont be til Maya (hopefully!) has babies so it'll be a bit of a wait yet, but i can just imagine two little horrors ruling the house :rolleyes:

    That is hilarious! I nearly wet myself with the treat bag and Nike pulling on Mia's leash. She just sat there and the went to lay down. Thanks for the laughs. They are both beautiful, by the way…if I haven't said it before!
