Made it through the Dinner, but… *PICS Added*

  • LMAO the cake didn't.

Tiggy didn't once put feet on the table with all the food. And was a perfect while everyone ate. He even spit out the turkey leg (whole leg) I knocked on the floor as I tried to pull the meat off to put it away.

Then we cleared the table and set out the cake and pies. Didn't touch it until my husband went to cut it but forgot to grab something from the kitchen came back right as Tiggy was taking a bite out of the cake. I'll have to get a pick, Dave tried to get him to spit out out because it is a red velvet cake, but nope it was down the hatch, lol, it wasn't a big bite and it was more frosting so I'm not worried about it hurting him.

It cracks me up, ignored it all but the cake.

  • Here's the pictures

I rotated one so you could see it how it looked before Dave decided he'd eat that piece any way

  • Hee, hee…..

  • I've seen, but never tasted, red velvet cake. Looks like everyone got a chance to enjoy it, despite Tiggy!

Magnum was unbelievably well behaved during our Thanksgiving. Even my DH commented on it. I didn't even have to kennel him during dinner. I was so proud of him!

I think there are a whole lot of us on here who have the same experiences. After a time you learn to laugh a lot at it. I have done more sewing with the basenjis than I ever had with my children. Having just patched up a sofa cushion today I came into the room to find that the zip has been carefully removed. It might be time to throw it away now and start again!!!!!

@Kingsley1230: Thanks for all the input guys! I will definitely get Lilu trained before I bring in a new B. But in the mean time I will be looking for a place to adopt an adult B, I heard eldorado is great. Is this correct? I have 2 Eldorado basenjis and also their male that they imported from Finland. 2 I adopted as adult show dogs retirees. I couldn't be happier with my basenjis. They have wonderful termperaments and Eldorado is big on health testing. The sisters are super helpful and always willing to answer my silly questions. :D

@ibi_n_sane: 2 B-s are better then one :d yes, also a lot more work, as they can take over nasty tricks from each other, but on the other hand they play with each other and make themselves more tired, it is a joy to see 2 basenjis playing and enjoying each other, just beware that what 1 can do, 2 can do better and quicker and faster, and then I am talking about the mischievious stuff ;) whahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahha you are killing me here Kim :D He is!!! Just when he's near that Tri-thing of you…. hahahaha

He doesnt do good when you put him in just one room, he tries to get out.. when we bring her home i'm gonna stay home with them for about 3 or 4 days, so i should get a good idea how they are together.. thanks for the help!

That would be Damisi-she's the one from Sue Wilcox's Bluestone Ubora Wili Duara and Carol McGrogan's Magi.
