    It depends on the breeder. I come from Rottweiler breeding background... we expose puppies to loud noises, really loud, uneven sources, temp changes, etc etc. Getting one at 8 wks, start off slow. I am sort of shaking my head... grew up around hunters and dogs and none cared... but that was the norm. I did find what looks like a reasonable article that might help. Also, I know you are set on a male... but have you considered an older rescue? Brat, CampBasenji and other rescues might have the perfect dog for you if no puppies are available.     @tanza: Great to hear…. and so much easier now that it can be done with the cheek swab. Yes, we have given an order for it at our Vet. :)
