Wet Towels

  • @DuchesssMom:

Wow…......baby diapers. Never thought of that one. That must be a major disposal feat. LOL

    yeah…you gotta be quick!

  • yup..same here! Not sure why?? Weird little furballs :D

  • My guys totally love the wet towels.. After I shower, I hang the towel on the rack and he'll go over to it and stand up on his hind legs to get to it and rub his face all over it. it looks like he's doing a dance. its hilarious. He also steals the hand towels that I hang off the stove. He thinks they need to be killed.

  • I have to give up hanging towel off the stove door!!!!

  • Yep! Corky loves my wet towels. If it's hanging on the hamper, he rubs up against it. Neither of my other two (not basenjis) do it. So Funny!!!

I wonder if it has to do with the fact that they like to keep themselves so clean.

I've often wondered that myself. She hates the rain, but loves rubbing on wet towels. Also hangs over the bath tub and licks me while bathing.

  • Keoki likes to sit in front of the dryer as I am putting the damp laundry into it and try to "catch" things as they go in. If he misses, he'll try to grab things out of the dryer and run before I can catch him.

LOL!! How cute is that?! :D

They never miss an opportunity, do they?

  • Senji only likes to roll around in the wet towel that was on my head. He isn't interested in the one that I dried my body off with. He'll scratch on the door and wait for me to put the towel down. He'll roll in it with great glee, and then sniff it, and sometimes roll in it some more.

Well isn't she a sassy little thing? Thanks so much for the information. I had not heard of this one at all. I will Google it to get more info and find where to purchase! Deb

I can't listen to that, it would wake my girl up and well... I'm not into a "sing along" just now. ;) I will say that many canines howl and yodel and bay (at the moon, whenever a fire truck passes, etc.). I'm not certain that any one breed is distinctive enough to have a sound all their own, but many a proud owner would probably assert so.

We use ones from Rukka. Not sure if they’re available everywhere but they are they best ones we have tried (others always fell off, especially in deep snow). I think having two Velcro closures on each sock has been key. I also prefer the soft shell ones as our B seems to accept them more and they don’t twist as much as the ones with a hard sole. Here are the ones I am referring to: https://rukkapets.com/paw-wear/thermal-shoes-black

My undergraduate degree was in geophysics with a minor in applied math. I name all my Basenjis after Indian mathematicians. My current Basenjis are Madhava of Sangamagrama (Madhava for short) and Bramagupta (Bramagupta for short). They do respond to their "short" names.
