    @scewbydoo One of our vet techs volunteers with the shelter where she was born. Her mom was labeled as Jack Russell. Her goofy nature makes me think Boxer mix, but who knows. The shelters down in S. TX aren't the most accurate at breed identification. I once had a shelter in San Antonio send me a picture of a brindle Basenji they wanted me to pull...it was a calico cat. Regardless of breed, Roxy is home.

    We use beautiful martingales from the dutch site www.halsbanden.com - maybe she ships to the US….     @Barklessdog: I went to a dog park near me once when our dog was a year old. When I let him off his leash he seemed confused and just walked by my side unleashed the whole time… I agree wholeheartedly. My MIL has a dog park by her house and we took Rocky there once or twice. But he to acted very different. At home (or at friends houses with enclosed yards) he goes Mach-5 and runs/leaps/bounces all over the place. At the dog park, he just trotted off about 15 feet away, checked out the direction of the wind, and trotted right back to me. And there he stayed. We even went at a time when there were fewer dogs, and the dogs there were all ones he knew. Go figure.

    My son uses a foxtail he has on a fishing rod to play with the B's…....a few of them will chase it till the tounges drag on the ground. It's fun to watch them.:)

    And I have 3 B's! The Boxenji can be trained easily enough and the heeler already is trained (I can trust her outside without a collar-so fencing is not a problem with her). But, then for the B's I'd have to buy the wiring, flags, etc. Lots of $$$$$$.
