    Hello!

    I have always been a fan of the Basenji, though I have never owned one (I realized that my life and dog training/rearing experience were no match for a Basenji, which wouldn't be fair to the dog). My current dog may* be a Basenji mix, but who really knows! Either way, I am happy to be here, and hope to learn more about the Basenji.

    Her name is Mattie and she is a real sweetie. My son brought her home from a mission trip in Appalachia. She has become my shadow and we just can't imagine not having her around.
