    Hey guys, I recently moved to Amsterdam and unfortunately or fortunately for him(nouno) I left Nouno back in sunny and warm Cyprus. I am lucky that I have 4 dog lovers as housemates who apparently got excited when I told them that I want to get a Basenji here in the Netherlands. My plan is to take it back to Cyprus when I leave Amsterdam in a year or so, as Nouno would love some company of another Basenji!
    If anybody has any information for our beloved breed please let me know! Cheers!

    P.S. Don't worry Nouno is left in father's great 'hands'! (my father is not working and Nouno is spicing up his life)

    @jodymp another post you sent stated you were in Yorkshire... so, are you looking for a pup in Europe? Do you have a specific region, or a distance range where you are focusing your search?

    Where are you located? There are actually a lot of options. Sadly, as of late, not a lot of basenjis being posted to BRAT. There are other rescues, including a great rescue for basenjis in Florida and California. Also, if you can't find a suitable rescue, please consider young and adults from breeders that they have decided don't fit their breeding plan. They also need and make great pets.

    My gut feeling is if you can't find a dog who is utterly good with cats already, your best and safest bet is a puppy. I suggest you get on a couple of breeder's list and wait for the perfect pup for your house.

    Hi, welcome to the forum, nice to see someone elase from the UK here. Please tell us a bit more about your Basenji, have you any pics ? :D We lost our Basenji boy last year and have now got a 5 month old Puppy girl, Malaika. When we were looking for a Pup we were advised to go to shows to identify breeders.
