    Female almost 12wks old. Looks and acts VERY Basenji. She takes after her dad with the long legs and lean body. Her ears try to stand but the tips flop lol. Her tail is lightly looped over her back. She was the one I was going to keep but due to circumstances I can't keep a puppy right now and would love to see her go to a great home. I contacted BRAT already and waiting on a response. Very good temperament…she's VERY high energy and does nip when she plays but shes learning not to. She DOES door bolt but is easy to catch if she does get out. She needs her 2nd set of shots. But has had her first. I missed the appointment for her 2nd set due to having to leave town unexpectedly due to family illness. She was born in my house on December 30th. She will be 12wks on Friday.     I hope someone can get this girl. A breeder could get the boy in Dallas and this girl in Houston and start breeding this Fall to try to make money. It happens all the time! I wish people who bought puppies would think before they buy. It costs money to take care of dogs. If they would buy from a reputable breeder, the breeder would take them back instead of listing them on craigslist to sell to anybody! Jennifer

    @dcmclcm4: Since she was found as a stray, no knowledge if she has been around children. When she gets overly excited to see someone she can be mouthy since she is still young so probably no real young children. I get her to sit, direct her focus away from my hand and give her a nylabone chew toy. This usually works. She is learning how to sit with the hand signal for sit and almost has it learned. She is a fairly easy pill giver as she has not spit out a pill yet! She did a playbow today to the Bs to try to get them to play. My two middle Bs, Arnie-10 years old and Bambi-8 years old play with her. She can bark but is not overly barky. I feel she does need more socialization and I am planning on doing that this coming week when the weather is better.
