I'm happy that I found my Basenji & hearing all the interesting stories everyone shares about their Basenjis on this site thanks.
If you get to know a basenji they will touch your life.. I find it funny when I have to answer the question 'what type of dog is that' I say he's a Basenji & I hear 'what'

I often hear "what's that?", like he's some awful Frankenstein dog, bit of this and bit of that. Then I tell them and they like the no bark part then I give them the bad news, they can make other sounds. But I do get more people than I thought, know what he is.
