  • Four of the EBC club members are headed over to Africa in Feb.
I am hoping, and they were thinking they would present slides of the trip, at next years national in Denver.

I hope it's safe enough for them to go. Jon Curby mentioned during his importing seminar at National that they were waiting to get the all clear from their African contact for the next trip. He was showing video of the different trips and it was quite sad that some of the villages they visited last time basically no longer exist due to the violence in the area now.

I just saw that on Bryan's website last night - how exciting for them!!! What an incredible journey that will be. My husband didn't remember seeing the pics on that website last time, so I want to show him {again, LOL}.

    Hi Shelley,

I have video of one of the expeditions to Zaire if you are interested, it very poor quality, but very interesting. I am not sure how available it is or if it is copyrighted in any way, but I could let you have a copy if that's ok with everyone. It great to see that there are still dogs there that we can clearly identify as Basenjis!

    Steve.

  • Very nice! I love seeing these kinds of photos! This past weekend I was running with a friend, and we happened to be running right where they were holding a race. The race was called the Race for Congo Women or something, and I was joking that they needed a bunch of basenjis there.
