  • :D:D:D Brillianr pics, i love them.
    Poor Spaik, those cheeky boys!!!!

  • What a wonderful series of photos..great big smile from me on this one!!!

  • LOL poor cat having his bed stolen, at least he is the boss and can take it back when he wants :D

  • Great photos - I couldn't stop laughing :D

  • Hehe, its seems that boys are really enjoying Spaiks present :D.

  • I love this series!! I think we need to convince BRAT that one month of their calendar should feature a picture of the literal translation of Basenji brat behavior (*: child; specifically : an ill-mannered annoying child <a spoiled="" brat="">) That last picture would win for sure!!

Hate to admit it, but I've never purchased a BRAT calendar. I certainly would if they were all "brat" pictures. Funny and candid. (No disrespect intended toward the current BRAT calendar pictures. They're lovely)</a>

I also never had a BRAT calendar, but I sure am interested!
Here in Holland are two different Basenji calendars.. and for 2010 aren't too pretty I think…..
    Were an you buy these?</a>

  • We are now taking orders for 2010 calendar purchases!

    http://basenjirescue.org/calendarcontest/CalendarOrder.asp

Calendars cost only $23.00 each, including shipping. (Orders from outside the United States will cost more. Please write to Chey Miller at brat-help@lists.basenjirescue.org if you have any questions about international postage). Payment may be made by check or money order payable to BRAT, Inc. - we are unable to accept credit cards or Paypal for calendar orders.

The calendar project is our biggest fundraiser of the year. All of the net proceeds from the project go directly to the help the dogs.

Please consider making an additional tax deductible donation to BRAT when you submit your order.

Thank you for your support of basenji rescue!

  • Re the post about all being rescue dogs. Some folks have show dogs, and also open their homes up to basenji rescues.
The photos are all submitted and folks can vote on the pic they like the best..no names and no pressure.
Its a great fund raiser to help basenjis in need and I always buy 2…one for the house and one for work.
Again, the $$ all goes to basenjis who need help.

LOL, yes, Buddy must be included. If he had his way, you'd be Mr. BaRoo, Bitty and Buddy! ;)

Thanks to all for nice words! :) On Wednesday Kwame is 3 weeks old. These pics are from weekend, when he didn't open his eyes yet… I hope to get his "open eyes" pics soon :). I think he has very nice similar white on face :) [image: attachment.php?attachmentid=8955&d=1323080571] [image: attachment.php?attachmentid=8954&d=1323080557] [image: attachment.php?attachmentid=8953&d=1323080543] [image: attachment.php?attachmentid=8952&d=1323080530] [image: attachment.php?attachmentid=8951&d=1323080515] [image: attachment.php?attachmentid=8950&d=1323080501] Can't wait till January when we take him home to Buju and Masai :).

@weeziesmom: I have tried chew bones to curb his chewing however he tries to take weezies and they fight over them You can teach him to leave hers alone. Make them both sit for their chew; give hers first and make him stay with you when she dashes off to chew. {helps him see that she gets one/he gets one, and also gives her a head start!} Make sure he knows you have one for him also. He must sit and make eye contact with you before he is given his treat. Once they both have a chew, make them stay in different spots. Stand between them, moving your body silently to block his attempts to get to her. If necessary, tell him "no" or "leave it". It shouldn't take long for him to learn that he gets his and she gets hers. Eventually, he will just look when you hand her the treat and will sit and stare at your face until he gets his own, then he'll run to his own spot to chew his bone.
