African basenji dog lost in Meridan Id

    This is the e-mail of Rose Marie Holt, her r/w young african village basenji got out from a kennel where she was place with her puppies and is running loose.
    I have photos but don't know how to post them, the photos are when this girl was a puppy, r/w with lots of white, loopy tail and in need of getting back to her puppies.

    If anyone in the area can help, please contact Rose Marie.
    No one wants a basenji lost.

    The picture the owner provided to Sharron is of the girl as a young puppy. She is now 12-14 months old.

    Again, this girl whelped a litter on Thursday. I am sure she is scared and confused and needs to get back to her babies. If anyone is in the area or knows people in the area, please spread the word.

    I forwarded the information to the breeders that are members of Willamette Valley Basenji Club and Evergreen Basenji Club along with Sharron, BRAT representative. I emailed the poster on the 13th and have not gotten a response. Hopefully he will end up in a good place.

Can't help you with the addiction - I surf for basenjis every few days even though there's no way we have room for more than our two. I was surfing petfinder.com today! Bad. Bad. Bad. I promised I would stop.

    Its nice to be able to show rescue does try to reunite folks and their dogs. Most of us do try very, very hard to contact breeders, owners, anyone we can who can help us track down the former owners. Its sad that in some rescue areas, the breeders and rescue DON'T work together for the dogs. I am so very lucky. We have a great basenji breed club up in the PNW. They are smart, caring folks who only produce the dogs they are sure they have good homes for. I have only had one person in my area not take a dog back, or fail to offer to help with funds when rescue rehomes their dog. So, its a win/win for the basenjis in my area. Until we have no basenjis to rehome, I can only hope the rescue groups in other areas work to win the breeders over to helping the dogs. Course, some folks your not going to like, or be able to work with, but still, when we keep in mind its all for the dogs… Hope you all have a wonderful sun with your families and pets.
