    I just received the blue cover book by Veronica Tudor Williams. It is so cool. Loose in the back of the book is a black and white photo of a dog that appears to be red and white with unusual markings and an almost straight tail. Written on the back of the pic is Lady Ka and Ba $75. I looked the dog up in the Zande database and this dog is listed!! The date is 18 August 1952. Does anyone out there know whose dog this was?

    @scewbydoo One of our vet techs volunteers with the shelter where she was born. Her mom was labeled as Jack Russell. Her goofy nature makes me think Boxer mix, but who knows. The shelters down in S. TX aren't the most accurate at breed identification. I once had a shelter in San Antonio send me a picture of a brindle Basenji they wanted me to pull...it was a calico cat. Regardless of breed, Roxy is home.

    @mvdperez We run the air all the time, keeping it under 70. It's cooling off some so he's fine. She is under the covers because we keep it cold. He goes out early morning, quick midday, then longer in the evening. We keep his coat stripped down. I have no idea if it will get cold enough to get a winter coat. It's not generally COLD here.

    I am wondering if my dog is a basenji or a basenji mix? We have had him since he was a puppy and was told he was a pomchi but I don't think he is. What do you all think?
