Do let us know how your search goes.
We are here to help you with any issues you might have, once your basenji is home. -
OOps, sorry for the double posts…don't know how that happened.

After posting here I recieved a list of Texas breeders from another group. I pasted it in. So we are still searching but we are narrowing it down. I'll keep you posted. Also look at

What a cute boy.
I know they have a lot of b's who are from byb's who need homes.
Texas is one of those states that let folks sell dogs and yes our b's from the back of pickup trucks at swap meets.
Sigh.
Heartbreaking! -

While Brenda has judged the Sweepstakes at the National Specialty, she is not a licenced judge. She is a breeder and handler…....
As with all puppy searches, please remember to do your homework and make sure health testing has been done....

He's already been adopted. Pout for me, yay for him!

Yes, if you want a rescue basenji you really need to be on top of it every day. They go fast, and unfortunately not always to educated homes. The effort is well worth it, though, both in getting a wonderful pup (who may need to work through some issues so you can both be reminded he's wonderful) and in the satisfaction of giving a basenji who's been misunderstood a wonerful forever home. Hang in there. Your pup will find you.
