Help!!!! Vote!!!

Basenji Talk
  • Hi everyone! So I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was entering Dallas into a contest for cutest dog in a costume run by a local radio station. Round one is taking votes now!

So, anyone with a valid email address can vote & help my boy out :) The website is: www.wmzq.com

Dallas is number #13! Here's the photo I submitted of him…

Thanks for any help you guys want to give!!! :D

  • I like the glasses on him. My vote's in.

  • Thanks for anyone who has already voted! For those who haven't & may want to, the voting doesn't end until tomorrow @ 5 PM!

As long as you have an email address you can vote! You simply pick your number [Again Dallas is #13] & submit. Then you must go to your email address & follow the link to actually get your vote counted! Thanks a million for all the help guys! :)

  • Nina,
How did he do in the contest rankings? :-)

  • Only the top 10 were moved onto the second round, not 15 like I originally thought. He was ranked as number 14! Oh well. I ran out of time anyway so his costume was hardly a costume :) Hopefully next year I will get my stuff together sooner & he will be ready to go!

  • awe, well hopefully next year will be his "breakout" year. #14 is still very good!!! :-) Yea Dallas!

Glad to hear things have improved. If it was a partial blockage perhaps it has resolved, but I agree that a vet check would be a very good idea just to be safe.

Often dogs don't know WHERE to go, in a new place. So, take them out every 3 hrs and treat/praise with proper elimation. Also, keep the areas of the apt your not in, closed. Keep the dog with you, and if you see the nose down, take it out. This should pass as the dog gets more settled. We travel a lot with our dogs, and we keep them with us in motel rooms, with closets, bathrooms shut. When they act like they are sniffing, we take them out. Also, extra exercise with your b will help. Good luck

Well, Tosca is just fine I think:) I was kinda worried last night, as the emergency vet said it would probably be ok since she only had half a pill, but they said I could call poison control to be sure. Well, that was going to be pretty expensive (55) so I wasn't too crazy calling about half of a pill, plus she seemed ok, and the vet seemed pretty confident. Then this morning I was a little worried again because she wouldn't eat more than about half her food, which is extrememly unusual, she usually gobbles it right up! But I had to go to work, and I called our usual vet on the way and they said it shouldn't be a problem. Luckily, now that I am home tonight she seems fine:) Thanks for the suggestions, we just got Tosca in Feb and this is the first time I have ever had a dog ( I was deathly scared of them as a kid) but she really has grown on me, she is so sweet, and not like a normal dog.
