• I'm a bit 'worried' about Mirtillo's weight. I think he is maybe a bit too skinny. Tomorrow I will start giving him more food.

I was wondering if you agree/disagree. I'll add two videos and a photo.

  • He looks fine to me. This is typically the 'gangly phase'. So he will fill out as he matures. I find that if I feed a puppy more food than they really need, they get really gassy 🙂

  • He looks fine to me, too.

I've always been told you should be able to easily feel the ribs, but not see them when the puppy is still. If you can see them as he runs and turns about, that is okay.

  • Look fine to me also…..while on a very young pup I prefer a little extra fat...just in case they get sick... your pup looks fine

  • He looks fine to me, too.

Did I see a kitchen garbage can in your video? If so, I'm impressed. I have my kitchen garbage in the cabinet under the sink with a childproof latch on the door to keep my dogs out.

  • Good to hear he looks fine.. I really was a bit worried.

I'm going to give him some extra food anyway. He only gets 90 gr. (the food package says 80-200 gr for pups 1-3 months with adult weight 10-25 kg)
With 4-5 months the package says 125-250 gr, so I'll start giving him a bit more.

Haha, yes, there's a garbage can in the kitchen, but Mirtillo is never alone in the kitchen… He does try to look in it and he turned it over once, but I was there just on time, so he couldn't enjoy the chicken.. :p
