I know this is a long shot, but anyone out there interested in B-sitting Tayda and Lenny the weekend of March 20 - 23? I know its a long shot, but just thought I'd throw it out there.
If I were closer to you, and knew my B Tosca could be sociable it would be GREAT (I never met another basenji before), but oh well. It would be fun to meet up with other basenjis sometime, though! good luck!
@rhughes89 said in Has Anyone had a Basenji this vocal?:
Have you ever had a dog this vocal?
Oh yes! My boy Sunny would vocalize on cue, and even if you picked him up he would continue until he was done. I have video somewhere of him howling while being held upside down.
Over here people aren't even guessing what breed Voodoo might be. The only thing they ask me is if he is a good hunter, what country he came from and what you can hunt with them. That's all they are intrested in, not one has asked what breed he actually is.
@Kananga:
Well, I guess they share a similarity with basenjis in regards to wrinkles. ;)
Although of course basenjis are not as wrinkly.
Shar-peis also have the curly tail!! :D
Any dog that I place (home bred or rescue) is welcome to come and stay with me when owners are on vacation - unless I'm not home myself. It's a nice way to stay connected to puppy people and allows me to see my dogs as they age.
@red:
They're all beautiful dogs! It just seems like yesterday you posting Daisy's homecoming pictures - She has turned into a magnificent young lady!
Thank you! It was a pleasure meeting Mommy Michelle. Tayda and Lenny were amazingly well behaved with our meeting the week before last. I love that it's so easy to become familiar with these dogs . . . addicting, eh?
