Sometimes he does get so close that you hear a little "sizzle" sound and he shakes his head, backs up,and moves right back in again.

Mine love to get close to the fireplace (with glass) and I sometimes will hear a little yelp and see one of them jump back before reconfiguring.

they are soooo cute and yes slightly weird, ive never seen a dog lie that cloose to the stove. my dog fell asleep on my laptop keyboard the other day i gess it was warm… :D

It's the posture that kills me. Seems that'd be awfully uncomfortable, but he does it all the time.

A few times he has fallen asleep there and fallen over. Goofy boy!
