    The other day I was working in my garden (finally got some spring weather to get started) and keeping an eye on EL D - to make sure he wasn't laying on the newly planted. He was just sitting nicely a little ways away seemingly enjoying the sun – with an old plant pot lying nearby ;) . As soon as he saw me looking at him, he got this basenji gleam in his eye :cool:, and snatched the pot and started running with it, all the while keeping an eye on me :D. What a little tease he can be. :D

    We have one of those spray heads on our shower that you can take off and use by hand. I get the water nice and warm, and even though Samantha isn't excited to jump in the tub, she's so good to just stand there and relax while I lather her up with doggie shampoo and rinse her off. I used to have to wrestle with my other B's to get them clean! I guess the old German saying: "All good things come in threes" is really true!

    The only sweat glands on a dog are on the feet. They keep their foot pads supple, but also sent mark the trail. I actually like the way goober smells. Probably because I grew up with a dish called Frito and Chili pie.     Very nice work Basenjibratz! They look totally comfortable! And I agree that once the basenjis are used to other dogs, and have a chance to acclimate, often things go quite well. It is that initial interaction that often goes so well! You have done some great work.

    @Vegas: We're all committed to the basenji, because the little tools have a way of capturing our hearts… I think basenji owners are a pretty tight-knit group. The ways basenjis affect our lives are so similar, it's hard to not find something in common with other basenji owners. I think this may be the "same page" Andrea was speaking of!
