My little basenji boy, his mom is full bred basenji but his father is a border collie/lab mix. Anyways he has really bad nightmares. I have heard the blood boiling screams and the crying at night. We use to pet him to put him back into a good sleep but that doesn't work anymore so we have to shake him awake. Night terrors happen and the doggy can't move just like humans. Im a vet assistant so she probably just had a really bad nightmare. If it was a night terror it would happen all the time and she wouldn't have jumped out of bed.
Late night ROOOO
-
Squiggy sometimes will be sleeping and let out this HUGE LOUD LONG ROOO. He never wakes up from it, but it scares me awake. I am not complaining about it, he is usually a quiet guy, but just curious if anyones elses B does this.
-
Just a lot of snoring from Alani.
-
Nothing here…some heavy breathing & an occassional snore
-
Hollie makes some "ummphhhh" (like groaning) kinds of noises when sleeping, especially if disturbed by someone.
-
Maybe a dream?
-
I get a constant snore. I did however accidently scare him while he was sleeping and he shot up and let out this big EERRRRHHHH. Every hair on his body stood up. I think I was more scared than he was. Hahaha!

Abbey sleeps like a corpse. She doesn't move at all. Sometimes she appears to have passed away and when I get nose to snout with her to check for vital signs she'll wake up and go What's your problem, mom? I'm trying to sleep here!
-
Happen twice with one of my girls, really scarry HUGE LOUD LONG ROOO  , the first time I even woke up thinking something was wrong. I think she must have been dreaming or would sound more like she had a nightmare.
-
When Hollie whimpers in her sleep and her legs kinda jerk a little, I KNOW she has to be dreaming. She is chasing something, or something is chasing HER!!
-
My oldest male when he was younger and intact would howl and I do mean howl in his sleep when the girls were in season..ggg
My Mickii snores like a sailor when she sleeps!!!! Kristii "squeaks"…. when she is dreaming... -

I do the same to my B but just to bother him(and show him what it's like to be awakened) and he'll look at me and throw a punch my way. I love how they box, well most of the time at least.

I know it is scarry! The funny thing is that squiggy is such a quiet guy and when he let out the rooo it really freaked me out (I was sleeping also) I sat straight up and tried to listen to see if anyone was creeping in the house and I got up out of bed to check that the doors were locked, It was then that I realized that squiggy was still sound asleep:)
The next few times that it has happened I still wake up startled, but then I smile. -
Our dogs sleep downstairs so it never crossed my mind that Giz was still asleep when he occasionally wakes us up. It is the most unearthly howl I have ever heard. We watched Ghost Hunters last night and between that and the midnight RRRRROOOOOOOO my son was a little creeped out. :D.
Ok, maybe I was too. It's just erie to wake up to that noise.
