@CarpeCanem: I'm headed down for at least a month and PIKE (Preston Ignacious Kingston Egelbert) needs some friends to play with down there. Also, do you know anyone who shows dogs down in PS? He desperately needs a new handler. Thanks in advance for your help. Have you been to any shows and talk to handlers? How about his breeder? Usually breeders can assist in finding a handler that is good with Basenjis.

I'm moving to Lakewood, Ohio, about 40 minutes north of Copley, in two weeks!! There are TONS of basenji people in Ohio, spread out all over the state. I've noticed there is a dog park in Lakewood, obviously that's a bit of a drive for you, but perhaps we could get together for a play date! I've also been told that Ohio has a lot of good dog parks, and I know there are a lot of parks and forest trails and stuff to take your dogs to. I have two brindle girls. This thread has pictures of Callie http://www.basenjiforums.com/showthread.php?t=9968 plus a couple of pictures here http://www.basenjiforums.com/showthread.php?t=8363 and you can also look through my gallery to see pictures of Lola.

We just got home from a great little meet-up with Kaiah and her humans! Kaiah is a little tri and had not played with basenjis before, so when she met our two tris and new black boy, she was smitten! It was all mutual, lots of sniff and wiggle, then she and Chip ran and chased for awhile, even Eddie got into the act. Kaiah's humans are delightful too, and it was a lovely dog park visit. Hopefully we can repeat it soon. Love the Forum and it's connections.
