Sorry for your loss, always harder when they are taken too early and we aren't prepared to let them go.

He has been having diarrhea for five to six days now. I took him to the vet. His fecal test and pancreatic test were negative. They drew blood but I'm not sure what all they tested for, only that nothing was abnormal. His poop wasn't odorous at first but now it is, which may be related to the antibiotic, probiotic, ID dog food for GI issues, and K-Pectin he has been taking. They're not fixing whatever the issue is.
He's been pooping in the house. It's pure liquid and next to impossible to clean. The past two days he has literally had the squirts. We've been keeping his activity level to a minimum. He seems able to hold it through the night.
So, any carpet cleaner I can use and anyone know what might be going on with him and what to do?
TIA
ETA: I was thinking it could be a fecal impaction. Any stool that would get past it would be liquid but I think he's pooping too often for it to be that.
Try to just feed rice for the next 24hrs.
Have you spoken to the breeder? He needs to go back to the Vet and he should be tested for EPI (is he eating?)(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exocrine_pancreatic_insufficiency) did the Vet test for an blockage? However, usually with a blockage, not only can they not pass poop… but they also vomit.....
Any treats that may have been from China? Both my dogs got incredibly sick from a rawhide they had gotten into without my knowledge. 'Incredibly sick' as in extremely watery, odoriferous diarrhea (ever 10 minutes), vomiting, lack of appetite. Even non tainted rawhides can cause issues.
"Earth friendly products: Stain & Odor remover (all natural biodegradable)" is an amazing product. It's actually the old formula that was 'nature's miracle' before the brand name was bought out and the formula switched. Enzyme.
Hydrogen peroxide can work for some light colored carpets. Simple Solution or Woolite maybe.
I have had very good luck getting stains out of carpet using a paste of baking soda, peroxide and dawn dish liquid, test the carpet in a inconspicuous place first for color fastness , I have also had great success just using tide, the trick is to make sure it is all rinsed out very well. good luck.
The treats my husband gives him could come from there. He gives him multiple rawhide bones per day even though I tell him not to. It's been a while since he's had one and this has been ongoing for over a week. How did you resolve your dogs' diarrhea? He's started vomiting today. He vomited his dog food and water twice today.
He had an x-ray done yesterday which didn't show any foreign objects or blockages. He hasn't ate in a couple days. All he's eating at this point is a little bit of peanut butter that his pills are hidden in.
The pooping in the house has increased. He's now not letting me know that he has to go out. He's just squatting on the floor and going. The poop is still foul-smelling. He's also licking it, something he's never done before. Poop is also literally leaking from his bottom.
Poor baby dog. poor momma owner.
The only thing i'm (unfortunately) familiar with is HGE

but what you're dealing with sounds quite a bit different. I'm hoping you can figure this out very soon.

Thank you.
He did have bloody diarrhea but I haven't seen any blood in two to three days. It hasn't looked like raspberry jam. He has another appointment today.
If vomiting food and water, classic sign of a bowel blockage along with the diarrhea. I would suggest an ultrasound ASAP… nothing to fool around with
Can he have brown rice? He's not showing any interest in any food. We're going on day five of no eating.
If your vet can't figure something out IMO you need to see a different vet. Dog should probably be on IV fluids at the very least to keep him hydrated.

Brown rice is harder to digest than white rice…. and have they done an ultrasound? Tested for EPI? Maybe you need to find a different vet? Have you spoken with his breeder?
We took him to another vet for a second opinion. He tested positive for Giardia–which the first vet said was negative, another motile parasite and a bacteria. He's been hospitalized since June 6th. The vet said it's one of the worst cases he's seen in a long time.
Thanks for the report. I have been worried about him (and you). Glad you finally found a vet who could identify the problem. Fingers crossed for a complete recovery!
Giardia is difficult to find, so i'm glad you've got a handle on things. i think there is a vaccination for Giardia, but am not totally sure about it. Giardia can be difficult to get rid of in the environment.
I am glad you went to another vet. I have to agree, this dog should have been on iv fluids and a scan to rule out blockage. Thank goodness he is in good hands now. Hope he is back home with you soon.
My female B has had Giardia twice. Both times she showed no symptoms and they found it while testing her yearly fecal sample. She was put on antibiotics and is fine. I take both my Bs to the river every weekend so assuming that's where she's getting it. I try not to let her drink any standing water but it could be anything.
He's still having diarrhea. They also think he has ulcerations in his GI tract. He's eating and drinking okay. The vet is going to keep him for another week. We don't know what we're going to do if it can be fixed.
Poor baby and poor you, not easy cleaning up all the time, hopefully now he has been diagnosed he will be on the road to recovery and hope it's not as bad as they think with his GI tract. Wish animals could talk to us as sometimes they hide a lot of pain and we don't pick things up until in the later stages(cats are sooo bad for that). Fingers crossed for you and your boy.
