Meet HONEY! She's a rescue from a local shelter. She was an abuse case so she is VERY shy. She hadn't been cared for and was abused before the shelter got her. I rescued her about a week ago and she's coming along good. She's a little Beagle. Her and Anubis are best buddies…its cute to watch them play. (Click for a larger image…was taken from my cell so its not huge)

:) Thanks Dan! I always love to help a dog in need if I can. Poor girl had broken ribs at one point and was in bad shape. She's doing excellent now! Still runs from people cuz she's scared but coming around

Congratulations to you and to that lucky little beagle, she is lucky you found her. I imagine with TLC she will become less fearful. Anubis looks like a great teacher.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words! Yes Rescuing is the best option. Sure it is a no kill shelter but it makes room for new dogs to be rescued and it puts her in a wonderful home! She is SLOWLY coming along. She likes to try to come up in my lap now. Shes a wonderful lil dog and Anubis LOVES having someone his size around. She "Smiles" she will get excited and show all of her teeth and wag her tail…I try to get pics but she always gets scared of the camera.
