    I just lost my best friend my male Basenji that has lived with me for over 15 years. He was a rescue and had some trauma before I got him. He did not ride in cars, could not crate him, had no tolerance for anyone touching his paws awoke grouchy, and other typical bad Basenji traits but I loved him regardless. I am in my 50's live in my own home, work from home as a travel agent and have no other animals. I know a lot about Basenjis and they are the only breed for me. I fed him an organic diet that consisted of grains, fresh veggies, and daily cooked meats. He walked 2 to 3 times a day for exercise and sleep in my bed, under the covers. I live in upstate NY, in the country and would love to share my own with another B as soon as possible. Thanks Glenn

I've never been there, and I can't imagine a bus driver letting me onboard with my pup (unless it was a service animal), so... had to ask.

    Where are you located? I have several breeders to recommend in the midwest! In the meantime, checking the BCOA list as Tanza suggested is a good place to start. Be warned though, puppies are being born this time of the year and many breeders have waiting lists!

    Hi rachel, I am looking to find a home for my basenji. Her name is Noel and she is 3 years old. She is a very good girl, lots of energy and very sweet. She knows basic commands. She just needs more time than I can give her. My recently had to take on my 6 month old granddaughter so Noel ends up spending tons of time in her crate.
