I am one of BRAT's Basenji mix coordinators. Most of the Basenji mixes I come across are probably not that Basenji, but some of them definitely are. Of course most are not from known parentage. This dog is currently on the BRAT adoption site, I'd say that she's a fairly high mix: http://www.basenjirescue.org/DOGS-MIXES/MS/MS-Bebe.asp

Wanted Adult In Upstate NY
-
I just lost my best friend my male Basenji that has lived with me for over 15 years. He was a rescue and had some trauma before I got him. He did not ride in cars, could not crate him, had no tolerance for anyone touching his paws awoke grouchy, and other typical bad Basenji traits but I loved him regardless. I am in my 50's live in my own home, work from home as a travel agent and have no other animals. I know a lot about Basenjis and they are the only breed for me. I fed him an organic diet that consisted of grains, fresh veggies, and daily cooked meats. He walked 2 to 3 times a day for exercise and sleep in my bed, under the covers. I live in upstate NY, in the country and would love to share my own with another B as soon as possible. Thanks Glenn
