    I'm looking for a young male around 3-4 months old. Willing to reserve puppies. Tri-color is preferred, but more important is temperament and quality of dog. I would love a show-quality male. I live in Houston, TX and I am willing to come pick up anywhere in the US. I want a top-notch addition for my family of five. I prefer to fill out application so both parties are comfortable. I have been searching for a couple of years for the perfect fit!

    @yahtzee92 Just make sure you see Mom with the pups if at all possible and you definitely see the health certificates of both parents. OFA website is public domain - anyone can research on it. Tanza is right. Any puppy farmer can pay the BCOA and get listed. It doesn't mean there is any BCOA recommendation or guarantee.

There is also a link on how to "vet" breeders, question you should ask. https://www.basenji.org/learn/ScreeningBreeders.htm Also check out health testing yourself. You need to have the registration numbers and/or registration name and you can check at www.ofa.org Here is the link for questions to ask breeders.
