Could be any time… from now till next Fall.... if you have bitches in the area that are intact and come in season that might bring her in... if not, and not around others in season, she might just wait till late summer/early Fall

Have you aske her breeder about the cycles of her Dam or other Basenjis, if they have more then one?

I did get your email… I am going to send you the link to coursing in NO. California... (most likely in the morning) will be a bit of a drive for you, but there are some trials in the Sac area... I don't really know what Nevada has, but will send you the links for AKC and ASFA.

My puppy's first heat came in early around 7 months (week of her first show, too :rolleyes:). I was watching around 6 months because I knew several relatives in her line cycled twice a year. Doesn't look like that is the case with Zoni so far. Yeah!

My pup's first heat was when she was a little over 10 months old. She had been around many girls that were in heat a month and a half before she went in and I had hoped that she would be in and over her heat before she returned to me from her show road trip LOL - no such luck. :D:D.
